Four dancers enter a loop. They walk, accelerate, dance. As the energy builds and a driving House set unfolds, bodies find a shared rhythm. The loop depends on everyone. Attention. Precision. Constant responsiveness to one another. It continuously reshapes itself. Constellations shift, forms, lines and axes transform. Drawing on the collective practice of House Dance, its movement vocabulary and geometric forms such as the diamond, hexagon and octagon, the piece develops a choreographic structure that can only exist through moving together.

Olivia Mitterhuemer is a Salzburg-based dancer, choreographer, curator and dance educator. She is one of the founders and artistic directors of Flavourama, one of Europe’s leading festivals for Hip Hop and House Dance. Her artistic practice connects street and club dance with contemporary performance and interdisciplinary collaboration. Alongside her artistic work, Olivia develops curatorial, participatory and educational formats and teaches internationally. Her work has been presented at venues and festivals including ImpulsTanz Vienna.

Potpourri Dance is an Austrian dance company founded by Farah Deen and Olivia Mitterhuemer. Since 2006, they have been working to bring Hip Hop and House Dance to wider audiences, both on and off stage. Their work moves between dance performances, theatre, music and interdisciplinary projects, alongside teaching and community work. In 2024, Potpourri Dance received the City of Salzburg’s Prize for Art and Culture for their long-standing artistic work.

How do these four dancers bring a club setting to the stage of a theatre? In a truly masterful fashion and with a great deal of sensitivity for their cause!
