“RoZéO” is a desire to return to the nature and change our relationship to it. Perched on frail metal rods, carried by an imperceptible breath, they oscillate gently. Like the reeds of the Camargue, they interact with the landscape. They invite us to look faraway and feel the breath of air. Suspension, immobility, slow oscillations invite to contemplation, to take a look of the wide plane. “RoZéO” is a living installation to observe slowly, a deep breath with the sky as horizon.

Gratte Ciel is a company created in Arles in 2013. Today, it is led by Stéphane Girard and Camille Beaumier. The path of Gratte Ciel follows the Studios de Cirque de Marseille producing the repertoire performance “Place des Anges”, created by Pierrot Bidon and Stéphane Girard, and presented as part of emblematic festivals around the world in the four corners of the world, from Montréal to London, Adelaide to Buenos Aires amongst others, has sealed the company's reputation on international level. Gratte Ciel has a repertoire of five touring performances: “Place des Anges” (2007), “Rouge” (2020), “Tawa” (2022), “RoZéO” (2023) and “Fuego” (2023), and continues to shape organic and dreamlike events that create long-lasting memories amongst communities. Always re-inventing themselves, they explore new formats of performance, from small-scale outdoor creations to large-scale participatory projects. At the heart of all their work, the occupation of space and the relationship with the vertical world as ways to weave connections within communities.

A stunning spectacle of beauty, an ode to the living, whether plant, animal, or perhaps even hybrid.

Gratte Ciel imagines aerial paintings with variable geometry, always imbued with poetry and delicacy. RoZéO draws a celestial interlude that we wish would be infinite…

The extraordinary images seen during this performance will linger on our retinas for a long time to come, to our great pleasure… Above and inside our heads, figures of warriors, angels, gorgons, sylphs and witches turn and turn…
