A collaborative work between choreographer Inbal Pinto and musician Maya Belsitzman, which deals with reconstruction of old lives, past events, extinct worlds, and lost characters. The void left by these, filled by fragments of thoughts and circles of resonance rekindling for a limited time, experiences that has forgotten but not erased.

Inbal Pinto established her Inbal Pinto Dance Company in 1992. Her first creation was “Dio Can”, mix of dance and painting. In 1993 she studied at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. In 1994, she joined Batsheva Dance Company. In 1996, Pinto created her first full evening performance “Wrapped”, for which she received prestigious Bessie Award. In 1999, she was invited to create “Oyster” for the Lyon’s Maison de la Danse. This piece is still performed, while it brought her the Israeli Theater Academy Award in 2000. Together with Avshalom Pollak, she created the Inbal Pinto and Avshalom Pollak Dance Company in 2002, for which they created “Boobies”, ”Shaker” “Wallflower” “Bombix Mori“, “Icetree”, “Trout” and many other works. Pinto also created for opera in Wiesbaden, Bergen and Tel Aviv. In 2013 Pinto and Pollak directed musical “The Cat who Lived a Million Times” an adaptation for a book by Yoko Sano in Tokyo, and later musical “Rashomon”. In 2018 Pinto created “Fugue” collaborating with composer Maya Belsitzman. That year Pinto left the joint Company and she continue her work as independent choreographer, director and designer.

Maya Belsitzman is cellist, singer and composer born in Tel Aviv. She graduated the Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv, Thelma Yellin High School and Art school Tel Aviv. She has worked with a long line of important artists and musicians. She is also active in some musical ensembles that accompany the productions of the Cameri Theater of Tel Aviv and in joint performances with the drummer Matan Efrat.

It is a work that raises questions, feelings and inspiration. The stage space begins like an old painting that comes to life, but is soon turning its gaze to the audience and drawing parallel lines between then and now.
