Roberto Bolle & Friends is an sensational performance and amazing opportunity to see on the same stage the Étoile Roberto Bolle with international dance stars, a real journey through the beauty and magic of one art form. Roberto Bolle, the absolute protagonist of dance, is not only an interpreter of these galas but also artistic director. Next to him the most important dancers in the world with whom he creates a surprising program, which is able to fascinate an increasingly vast and heterogeneous number of spectators. His performances have become an extraordinary tool to spread dance and its excellences to a broader audience, composed by thousands of ballet lovers and neophytes. Roberto Bolle brings on the same stage works from the great classical tradition with contemporary solos and pas de deux, created by the most innovative choreographers of the contemporary dance scene. A rare and highly prestigious cultural opportunity, a journey through different styles and different artistic traditions that continuously creates wonderful emotions.
Roberto Bolle trained at the ballet school of Teatro alla Scala, Milan, where he was promoted Étoile in 2004. He has regularly danced as a guest artist with the most prestigious companies worldwide. He was Principal Dancer with the American Ballet Theatre in New York from 2009 to 2019. His own performance Roberto Bolle & Friends has overcrowded many Italian and international arenas and squares gathering millions of acclaiming people. He participated in several film and television projects, often of his own creation, such as the format “This night has opened my eyes” created for Sky; “Danza con me”, aired from 2018 to 2023 on Rai 1; and “Viva la Danza”, which was broadcast for the International Dance Day on April 29, 2024, on Rai 1, achieving critical and public acclaim. Roberto has been testimonial of several commercials, award-winning and awarded the highest honours, national and international. He is, among other, Unicef Ambassador and he has received the Unesco Medal for the cultural value of his artistic work. In 2018, he became the Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic and in 2021, Grand Officer. He collaborated with artists such as Bob Wilson, Peter Greenaway, Anne Leibovitz and Bruce Weber, who dedicated him the photographic book “An Athlete in Tights”. He is the creator and artistic director of the dance festival OnDance which is now at the seventh edition in Milan: through a busy calendar of workshops, open classes, flash mobs and shows, he makes the whole city dancing.
